About LDHH

Louth & District Help for Homeless was set up in 1992 to give interest free loans to those seeking to rent affordable accommodation, where they were unable to find the sum required for rent in advance, a deposit and an agreement fee. These loans are paid back at about £10 per month to replenish funds ready for other clients.

The Charity has no premises, paid staff or vehicles. We have a strong core of willing volunteers who are committed to helping the charity achieving its aims but are always looking for more to ensure our important work can continue.

How Are We Funded?

There are quite a few occasions during the year when the charity can apply for local funding from organisations such as Louth Town Council and Louth United Charities. The application is made through the chair. We are not always successful but any contribution we receive is greatly appreciated and allow us to continue our good work. We have put on fundraising events in the past and are looking to do so again in the future.

LDHH has recently received funding from the following organisations:

In additional we have been supported by individuals via bequest and standing order. Further funds have been raised by book sales, choral events, busking and Facebook Birthday Fundraising.

If you would like to make a personal donation or help organise a fundraising event, please contact us.
